FAQs

  • I’m ecstatic to announce I’m breaking into the wedding field! I am taking on intimate weddings and elopements. Intimate weddings are typically larger than an elopement but smaller than 100 guests. If you have questions don’t hesitate to ask!

  • At this time please inquire directly for wedding package pricing information!

  • Nope! I don’t set limits on the number of photos I send out since each session is completely unique. I am passionate about what I do and want to provide you with my best work without limitations.  If the picture meets my professional standards, you will get it back.

  • Totally! If you would like to break your time up across different days that is no problem at all.

If you would like to add on more time for your photoshoot I can definitely make that happen. We will chat about adding more time and prices before booking.

If an hour session is out of your budget, chat with me about options! I’m open to mini-sessions especially for couples and families. Just a note, due to the nature of mini-sessions you will get back fewer images.

  • Yes! I am based in Lawrence, KS but willing to travel locally to the Topeka and Kansas City metro area at no cost. If you are based in other parts of Kansas and the US, we will discuss travel costs and my schedule before booking.

  • I have heard this a lot and, trust me—you are not! Getting your picture taken can be a really vulnerable experience and not everyone feels naturally carefree in front of the camera. I strive to ensure a comfortable and fun atmosphere for you. It will be a collaborative experience where you’re never thrown to the wolves and I will always be there to guide you. My goal is for you to walk away feeling confident!

  • Great question! Portraits include senior sessions, branding/professional headshots, etc. These pictures involve no set design, props, or creative direction.

Ex: for your senior pictures, you want to take pictures on campus and show up with two outfits.

Creative portraits can involve set design, props, wardrobe/stylistic consultation, etc.

Ex: you are inspired by the ’70s and want a retro photoshoot with creative directing, styling, props, and possible set design.

  • Wear what you are comfortable in! This is your photo shoot and your time to shine. Some colors look better in front of the camera and as a general rule, I recommend neutral tones and avoiding certain prints such as horizontal stripes or houndstooth. If you have questions, I am happy to offer further assistance, and love playing stylist.

  • The only photo editing I do is color grading or occasionally removing a distracting object from the background. If you want a minor edit (like removing a blemish or bruise) feel free to chat with me, I want you to feel confident. Other than that, I do not use Photoshop and will not edit your face or your body. Trust me, you are gorgeous and this will shine through in your pictures.

If you have any other questions, don’t hestitate to reach out!
