Mal's Family Session - Part I

Mal and I had already hit it off from her professional shoot so I was extremely excited to capture some moments with her sweet family. When we were planning her family session, we bonded over our love of authenticity and the desire to capture genuine moments of connection.

We gushed over photos from the past like the famous pictures of Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg or Mick Jagger’s wedding to Bianca Jagger.

We met in Williamsburg, and I told her I wanted to just observe her and her family together with little input from me. Think of this as us hanging out but I just happen to have my camera.

I of course mentioned I could pose them if they ever felt awkward or needed guidance but honestly, I had minimal instruction for posing and what you see is 100% them.
